Holiday Information & Travel Tips
How to Book
We strongly recommend that you book through your local independent
travel agent who will provide you with expert advice. Your travel
agent will call us to check availability for your requirements.
In order to make your reservation a confirmed booking you must send
the required deposit - full payment if your departure is within
eight weeks - to reach us no later than 7 days after making your
booking.
If a hotel needs to be requested, your travel agent will need to
take payment in order for us to request the accommodation and if
subsequently confirmed you will be bound by our terms
and conditions as shown.
Passports and Visas
A full 10 year passport is required valid for at
least 6 months beyond your planned return date. Correct documentation is
entirely your responsibility and we recommend that you allow plenty of time for
obtaining all necessary documents. At this time a visa for the United States
and Canada is not required by British citizens travelling on a British passport
and staying no longer than 90 days. However you will be required to complete a
Visa Waiver form, which will be given to you either at the airport or on your
flight.
Please note the requirements for passports and visas are due to change in October
2004 - please check with your travel agent or the US Embassy prior to making your
booking.
Any person with a criminal record may be refused entry to the USA and should
contact the US Embassy prior to travelling.
Your Accommodation
Extreme care has been taken to provide you with honest and accurate
accommodation descriptions. In America and Canada service and comfort
are a way of life. You will usually find air conditioning, private
bath or shower and colour TV in your room whatever type of accommodation
you have chosen. Check-in for hotels is usually 3pm. Check-out is
usually at 11am on the last day of your stay, however it is usually
possible to store luggage (sometimes at a small charge) until your
departure.
Holiday Calculations
The price shown on your invoice is the final price and if fully
paid will not alter.
Renovations, Refits and Construction
The vast majority of the accommodation we offer is open for business
throughout the year. There are no official closed seasons during
which hoteliers can effect repairs, renovate or refurbish. As
ALL
of AMERICA
only use properties that believe in maintaining
high standards, and indeed improving them, there may be instances
where certain work is carried out during your stay. You have our
assurance that the management of the properties will do their utmost
to minimise the inconvenience .It is also possible that some resort
areas continue to expand and it can happen that construction work
may begin in the vicinity without our knowledge. We will always
do our best to inform you of the facts in advance, but if this is
not possible please accept our apologies.
USA Drinking Laws
Generally speaking persons under 21 are not admitted in licensed
premises.
Children's Safety
As we know children are naturally curious, more so when on holiday
with lots of exciting places to explore and things to investigate.
Be vigilante with balconies, lifts, swimming pools etc. Children should
NEVER be left unsupervised at
any time during your holiday.
Credit Cards AND Valuables
We suggest you carry most of your holiday money in US dollar travellers
cheques as sterling is often difficult to change. In addition you
should carry a small amount of local currency for tips and sundries.
Major credit cards are widely accepted abroad and it will prove
useful to have one. When renting a car you will usually be asked
for a credit card imprint as security, although you can use cash,
debit card, or travellers cheques to pay the final bill. You should
never leave credit cards, currency, or items of value unattended
in your hotel room. Always make use of the hotel's safe deposit
facility if available. Only take on holiday those credit cards and
items of value (jewellery etc) that you deem absolutely essential.
Unused Services
Please note it is not possible to make refunds after the date of
departure for unused services.
